One topic, one source of truth
GenericSemaglutide.ca covers generic semaglutide in Canada and nothing else. Brand drugs appear only as comparisons.
Each guide answers one question, so no two pages compete or repeat each other. The team behind the site writes every page under one editorial byline.
Regulatory facts come from Health Canada: the Drug Product Database (read at every build), the Notice of Compliance database, the register of drugs under data protection, the Generic Submissions Under Review list and the Recalls and Safety Alerts database. Coverage facts come from each plan's own formulary or bulletin. News reports are cited when no official document exists, and company press releases are labelled as press releases.
Prices
Pharmacy prices are cash prices for one four-week pen, including the dispensing fee, before any insurance. Each row says how we know it: Audited means it comes from a published retail phone audit; Estimated means it is modelled from the public list price, a province factor and the chain's fee.
We do not use the word verified for a price until we have confirmed it with the pharmacy ourselves. Online provider prices come from each provider's published pricing.
Referral links
No company pays to appear on this site or to be ranked in a table. Some links to online providers may earn a referral fee; those links carry rel="sponsored". Referral fees never change the order of any table, which is always by price.
Medical content
Pages with clinical statements need a licensed Canadian pharmacist's review. A review credit appears only after the review has happened. We do not give personal medical or dosing advice; the medical disclaimer explains the limits.
What we will not publish
- Reviews of online pharmacies, or anything about compounded or "research" semaglutide.
- Ways to get semaglutide without a prescription.
- Launch dates or prices that no company or regulator has announced.
- Invented experiences, testimonials or expert quotes.
Corrections and updates
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We re-check prices, plan rules and product status at least monthly, and immediately when Health Canada posts a new approval or recall. Corrections are made on the page with the new date.
